GUIDELINES
The cabins are available for individuals who desire to make a spiritual retreat of silence and solitude outside of the two months of “desert time” reserved for the novices of the Brothers of Saint John (usually from June to August). However, if there are no novices, the summer months are open, too.
The cabins include an oratory (place for prayer), a desk with a chair, and a bed. There is no running water, nor sewage. However, there is a wood burning stove. The "Faithfulness" cabin has no electricity, but some rechargeable lanterns are available; it also has a 2-burner propane camping stove for cooking. Showers and restrooms are accessible at the Dome House, or in the Bathhouse next to the "Patience" cabin (the latter is available only in the summertime). Moreover, the cabins have portable camping toilets, which can be emptied in the Dome House. The "Patience" cabin has electric power, a small fridge, a 2-burner electric cooking stove, a microwave, and various electric appliances (coffee maker, kettle, rice cooker, small oven, etc.). Water supply can be taken from the Dome House.
